🌊 Announcing Pushing the Wave 2023 — and Celebrating Pride

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Pushing the Wave 2023 by L.A. Davenport, the second volume in what is set to become an ongoing series of books celebrating the richness and diversity of the Thoughts and Pieces section of the Pushing the Wave website.

Following the success of Pushing the Wave 2017–2022, this new instalment gathers a fresh selection of essays, reflections, stories, travel pieces, and recipes, each one thoughtfully crafted to capture the highs, lows, curiosities, and joys of daily life. Davenport’s distinctive voice continues to shape this series into a literary companion for anyone seeking insight, humour, and connection.

With Pushing the Wave 2023, we mark the continuation of a series that, each year, will offer readers a window into the evolving landscape of modern experience—a space where ideas, emotions, and observations come together in vibrant, unexpected ways. Whether you are drawn to the cultural reflections, the personal stories, or the inviting recipes, these volumes are an invitation to slow down and savour life in all its complexity.

This week also brings the start of Pride Month, a moment we at P-Wave Press hold close to our hearts. We proudly celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and LGBTQ+ lifestyles—not only this month but always. We stand in solidarity with those who continue to face difficulties and discrimination, particularly in these turbulent times. Let us all remember that, behind the parades, celebrations, and activism, Pride is about something beautifully simple yet profound: being proud of who you are, no matter who you love.

Here’s to another year of thoughtful creation, shared stories, and collective pride. Thank you for being part of the wave. 🌈🌊
